Unlock Your Future with the IncludeME Educational and Career Guide

In today’s ever‐evolving educational and professional landscape, young migrants and refugees with interrupted or delayed schooling often struggle to find clear pathways for learning and employment. The IncludeME Educational and Career Guide, developed under the Erasmus+ project “IncludeME – Inclusive educational opportunities for migrants and refugees with inadequate or postponed formal education,” offers a concise, roadmap to support these youth, empowering them to rebuild their educational trajectories and enter the labor market with confidence.

A Clear Focus: Education, Vocational Training, and Career Support

This Guide zeroes in on four core areas of support, presented in easily digestible sections:

  • Formal Education Pathways – Step‐by‐step guidance on enrolling in national school systems (primary, secondary, and higher education), including information on age limits, language‐immersion classes, and document requirements.
  • Vocational and Technical Training – Overviews of vocational options (VET programs, apprenticeships, technical institutes) tailored for each partner country, with details on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and equivalence of foreign qualifications.
  • Job Search and Employability – Practical tips navigating online job platforms, understanding work‐permit procedures, and accessing public employment services. This section also highlights key sectors with high demand for entry‐level positions.
  • Social and Psychological Support – Lists of local NGOs, counseling services, and mentorship programs that provide language courses, psychosocial assistance, and peer networks to foster integration and well‐being.

By organizing information around these pillars, the Guide ensures that users, whether newly arrived students, youth workers, or community volunteers, can quickly locate the exact resources they need.

Country Snapshots: From all partner-countries

To make the Guide truly user‐centric, each partner country contributes a concise “snapshot” covering:

  • School Enrollment Procedures – How to register at the correct level, access language support, and obtain necessary documentation (e.g., proof of residence, prior school records).
  • Vocational Training Routes – Overview of upper‐secondary VET institutes, apprenticeship schemes, and adult education centers. Includes contact points for registration, exam schedules, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Employment Services and Platforms – Names and web links of national employment agencies, prominent job portals, and EURES offices. Highlights emerging sectors (e.g., IT in Estonia, tourism in Greece, manufacturing in Italy).
  • Local NGOs & Support Networks – Short lists of organizations offering free or subsidized language classes, career counseling, legal aid, and psychosocial support (for example: Estonian Refugee Council, METAdrasi in Greece, CIR in Italy, Caritas Cyprus, JRS Portugal, and Slovene Philanthropy).

Each country section spans approximately half a page, featuring concise bullet points and web URLs for direct access.
